Meet your hosts, Laura and Richard.

Laura grew up on a dairy farm, has a background in wine and communications, and a love of arts and music. Laura is focused on ensuring The Gullies is a place that anyone, from anywhere, can feel comfortable and welcome.

Rich is a sixth generation farmer and lives and breathes farming, family and friends. Rich works hard to be a progressive and smart farmer, while never forgetting what his intuition or older generations have taught him.

Laura and Rich reckon they’re pretty lucky to have the privilege of their own land to help feed people and contribute to the economy. Passionate in sharing and hearing ideas and meaningfully connecting with community and the arts, they created The Gullies Arts Residency.

They look forward to hosting an annual artist residency at The Gullies—and creating a place where arts and agriculture meet.
